  1. Bring 3 cups of water and 1/2 tsp salt to a boil. Add 1 cup White Corn Grits and reduce heat. Cook slowly for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, cover and let stand for a couple of minutes before serving. This will make enough for four generous helpings.

      Yes, you may use half water and half milk for creamier grits. Keep in mind that when using milk the chances of scorching increases. Be mindful to stir more frequently and lower heat if you find it to be necessary.
