Stove-Top Preparation
  1. Sort and rinse 1 cup of Bob’s Red Mill Flageolet Beans. Place in a medium size pot and add 4 cups of water. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook until tender, about 60 - 90 minutes. Make sure to keep beans covered with water during cooking; if water level is low, add additional water and reduce the cooking temperature. Makes approximately 3 cups cooked beans.
Pressure Cooker Preparation
  1. Sort and rinse 1 cup of Bob’s Red Mill Flageolet Beans. Place in pressure cooker and add 5 cups of water. Secure lid, set pressure to high and begin heating on high heat. When steam begins a steady flow from the release valve, reduce heat to medium and let cook for 25 - 30 minutes. When cooking time has completed, turn heat off and allow pressure to decrease naturally for 15 minutes. Carefully remove lid and drain water from beans.

The flageolet beans recipe is listed in the slow cooker section but when you pull up the recipe, the slow cooker preparation is for a pressure cooker not a slow cooker.
Can any of your bean soup mixes be made in a slow cooker with soup bones which would require longer cooking times in the slow cooker. I am particularly interested in the black bean soup mix with a large ham bone.

Our Bean products can be prepared using a slow cooker. In general, cook beans on high for 5 hours or on low for 8 hours. To prepare our Bean products with soup bones, cook the beans and soup bone for 8 hours on low. After the 8 hours you may remove the soup bone. If your soup bone has any meat present, gently remove it from the bone and place in the beans. Cook for 2 additional hours or until the beans reach your desired texture.
