Every time I cook oatmeal or rye flakes in the he microwave, it boils over onto the microwave turning plate. How can I avoid this?

      Hi Cheryl,
We do recommend the stove top directions if possible, as this will provide you with the most consistent results, but some customers have had success using the microwave with the following adjustments:
In a large, microwavable bowl combine ¼ cup steel cut oats- ¾ cup water. You can also add a little butter or coconut oil if you’d like. The fat in the oils help to bind to the starches which helps prevent boil overs.
Cover and microwave on high for 3-5 minutes, stopping to stir every minute.
      Let stand for 2 minutes
      Makes 1 serving.
