This is one of my favorite basic pizza dough recipes. I always prep the active dry yeast in a 1/2 cup of warm water and a teaspoon of sugar in a glass pyrex measuring cup. I set it near the warm oven and that gets the yeast all active and ready to use. This also lets me know if my yeast is live. If it doesn’t bubble in the 10 minutes, I know that my yeast is dead. Thank you for the basic recipe!

Thank you for the tip about the yeast when it’s dead. I’m new at making pizza dough. Was not sure what pinch and pull dough to fill pan. I rolled and stretched dough to make individual pizza shells for my family. The dough worked well except it was a bit soft thanks!
