  1. Preheat oven to 400°. Grease a 9" x 9" baking pan and place greased pan into oven (must be hot).
  2. Combine dry ingredients. Add egg and enough milk to make a thin batter. Pour into hot, well-prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes or until golden.

    This was terrible! Coarse and tasteless. Do you need to soak the cornmeal first? Very disappointing and a waste of 2 cups of cornmeal that could have made a nice polenta.
