  1. Blend together the sugar and margarine. Add the applesauce, vanilla and milk and blend until smooth. Add the flours, baking powder and cinnamon and blend. Stir in the walnut pieces.
  2. Scoop batter into muffin tins until 3/4 full. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes.



    Makes 1 dozen muffins.

      Yes, you may use our Gluten Free All Purpose Baking Flour in place of the two wheat flours. This flour is formulated to substitute cup for cup with all purpose white flour. Since Ivory Wheat Flour is heavier per cup than all purpose white flour, you may find you need to use 1 ¼ cups GF All Purpose Flour for every cup. You will also need to add xanthan gum (1 – 1-1/2 tsp. per cup of flour) to the recipe to replace the binding function of the gluten.
