Stove top cooking instructions:
For a savory hot breakfast cereal bring 3-1/4 cups water and 1/2 teaspoon salt to a boil. Stir in 1 cup cereal and immediately turn heat to very low, continuing to stir until cereal and water are blended. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Makes 3-1/2 cups (4 servings). Serve with honey or brown sugar and milk. Add fruit or nuts to increase your breakfast nutrition. Single serving instructions: Bring 3/4 cup water and a pinch of salt to a boil. Add 1/4 cup dry cereal, reduce heat to very low and let cook to desired consistency, about 7 - 10 minutes. Makes about 3/4 cup. Microwave cooking instructions: In a large bowl, combine 1/4 cup cereal, a pinch of salt and 3/4 cup water. Cover and microwave on high for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring often. Let sit for 2 minutes. Makes 1 serving (3/4 cup). |

I adore BRM's mighty tasty cereal!! I prefer to make savory rather than sweet - follow the above instructions and stir in about 2 Tbsp cream cheese and a drizzle of olive oil. Sometimes I toss in fresh thyme too and voila! A delicious savory porridge :)

This stuff is really yummy, filling and healthy. I love it with toasted pecans, a small pat of butter, a splash of milk and maple syrup. Makes cold mornings much warmer :)
