Hearty Granola

Customer Liz Pudas shared her twist to granola for excellent taste and nutrition.


Preheat oven to 300°F. In a large bowl mix the oats, almonds, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon. In a small saucepan warm the oil and honey. Carefully stir in the vanilla. Pour over the dry mixture. Stir gently to mix well. Spread granola onto baking pan. Bake 40 minutes stirring carefully every 10 minutes. Allow to cool and then stir in coconut and dried fruit. Store in airtight container. Makes 9 cups (about 18 servings).
