DirectionsStep 1Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a cookie sheet, set aside.Step 2Combine oil, honey and water in saucepan. Heat gently to melt honey and remove from heat to cool.Step 3Sift flour and carob powder before measuring. Combine dry ingredients and sift again. Stir vanilla into liquids, then add dry ingredients. Fold in nut pieces or top each cookie with half a nut.Step 4Drop batter by rounded teaspoon onto prepared cookie sheet.Step 5Bake 12 - 15 minutes, until cookies are golden. Remove to wire rack to cool.Makes about 2 dozen. |
