DirectionsStep 1Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly oil an 8" x 8" x 2" baking pan and set aside.Step 2In a medium bowl, mix together carob powder, brown sugar, vegetable oil, vanilla and eggs.Step 3In another bowl blend together the barley flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add flour mixture to carob mixture; stir well. Gradually add chopped nuts; incorporate well.Step 4Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes (do not overbake).Makes 16 brownies. |

Have you tried this recipe? Really? Batter was dry like pie crust
"pea-size corn meally" before adding the liquid! I added 2/3 cups milk and it was still very dry like thick frosting. Don't know if it's going work, but the consistency was much better with the milk
