Basmati Indian Pilaf

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Rinse rice in 2-3 changes of cold water. Put rice in ovenproof dish. Add water, oil, raisins, and cinnamon stick; place dish in oven. Cook covered until all liquid has been absorbed, about 50-55 minutes. Remove cinnamon stick. Stir sliced almonds into the rice when cooked. Makes 8 servings.
