Quinoa Crackers

Crackers

Glaze

  • 2 tsp Natural Soy Sauce or Tamari
  • 2 tsp Sesame Oil

Directions

Crackers

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425°F. Oil an open-sided baking sheet and set aside.

Step 2

Combine flours, seeds, baking powder, and salt in a medium-sized mixing bowl. With finger tips, rub in 3 Tbsp + 1 tsp oil. Add water in three stages to form a workable, but soft dough. Cover and let rest 10 minutes.

Step 3

Roll out cracker dough on the prepared baking sheet to 1/16-inch thickness. Cut into 1-1/2-inch strips.

Glaze

In a small saucer combine soy sauce and 2 tsp sesame oil. Brush glaze over the crackers. Bake for 5-7 minutes or until the crackers are lightly browned. Cool on rack.

Makes 48 crackers.

These were yummy! I assume the oil amounts should have been 3 Tbs + 3 tsp?

You are correct that the TOTAL oil measurement for the Quinoa Crackers recipe is 3 Tbsp plus 3 tsp. 3 Tbsp plus 1 tsp are incorporated into the cracker dough while the remaining 2 tsp are used in the glaze.
