Directions
In a large stock pot saute onions and garlic in oil for 5 minutes. Combine with split peas, ham stock, bay leaf and pepper. Cover and simmer slowly for 1-1/2 hours or until split peas are soft.
Add celery, carrots, potatoes and ham during last 15 minutes of cooking time. Remove bay leaf. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Makes 8 Servings. |
