Grandmother's Tapioca PuddingContributed by: customer Marylin JamesMarylin loves the Tapioca Pearls and created this recipe to replicate the pudding her grandmother use to make.
Directions
In a 4 quart saucepan soak the tapioca pearls in the water for 60 minutes. Whisk in milk, sugar and eggs. Let stand 30-60 minutes. Let mixture come to a full rolling boil and stir often as is cooks with a wire whisk. Remove from stove and let set 60 minutes and do not stir.
When cool, add vanilla and serve. Pudding thickens as it cools. Makes 6 servings. *To make a Chocolate Tapioca Pudding, add 2 Tb Cocoa Powder and an additional 1 Tb Sugar when adding milk and sugar to soaked tapioca. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
