Fruit Filling
Oatmeal Torte
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 9 x 13-inch pan with shortening and set aside.
Beat brown sugar and shortening together until creamy. Add vanilla and eggs; beat well. In a seperate bowl, bluend flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, xanthan gum and sea salt. Mix flour blend into shortening mix. Add aots and pecans and mix well. Press one-half of torte mixture evenly into pan. Spread filling evenly over crust. Top with remaining torte mixture by dropping small pieces evenly over filling. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool and cut into serving pieces. Makes 32 servings. *Eggless option: Mix together 1/4 cup of Flaxseed MEal with 3/4 cup of water; let sit for two minutes. Add to recipes as you would eggs. |
