Summery Creamed Broccoli and Pasta

  • 1/2 pound Pasta
  • 1 Tb Margarine
  • 1/8 tsp Black Pepper (Fine Grind)
  • 1 Onion chopped ()
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 chopped fresh Basil
  • 1/2 cup NUTRITIONAL YEAST
  • 2 cups Dairy or Soy Milk
  • 4 stalks Brocooli chopped ()
  • 1 Salt to taste

Directions

Saute the onion and garlic together, being careful not to burn the garlic. Meanwhile, cook pasta in water. Mix milk, yeast and margarine together in a small pot. Heat over medium heat until mixture begins to bubble. Add onion, garlic and broccoli. Cook together until broccoli is tender. Drain pasta into serving dish. Toss basil with the pasta. Pour heated sauce over pasta. Serve with fresh salsa.

Makes 8 servings.
