Basic Cooking Instructions for French Green Lentils

  • 1 cup Petite French Green Lentils
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth or Beef or Vegetable Broth
  • 2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Salt and Pepper (to taste)

Directions

Prepare Lentils:

Rinse Lentils and place with broth in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 45 minutes until liquid has been absorbed. Remove from heat and stir in the butter. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve piping hot!

Variation:

Saute 2 quartered and sliced leeks in 1/4 cup olive oil. Mix into cooked lentils and season with salt and pepper to taste.
