Basic Cooking Instructions for Organic Kamut® Berries

These instructions are printed on the label of Organic Whole Grain Kamut® Berries. Lactose Free, Low Fat, Organic, Soy Free, Vegan.

Directions

Step 1

Presoaking the grains is optional, but recommended. For best results, soak grain overnight.

Step 2

Drain off soaking water. Bring 3 cups water to boil; add soaked grain. Cover and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes (note: if grains were not soaked, please allow 45-60 minutes), or until tender and plump. Drain off any excess water.

Yields approximately 2 cups cooked grain (4 servings)
