Gluten-Free Sandwich Bread for the Bread Machine

Directions

Have all ingredients at room temperature. Whisk together dry ingredients until thoroughly blended.

In separate bowl, whisk together liquid ingredients until very smooth. Follow your specific machine instructions for adding liquid and dry ingredients in the proper order. Set controls for white bread or medium/normal setting and bake.

Remove baked bread from bread machine and cool thoroughly on wire rack before slicing with electric knife or serrated knife. Makes one 1-1/2 lb. loaf (12 slices).

*For lighter colored bread, use one whole egg and enough egg whites to equal 3/4 cup. For an eggless option use 3 Tb Ener-G Egg Replacer mixed with 1/2 cup & 2 Tb water.

Wow!! Great Bread!! The texture is beautiful and the smell was absolutely delectable. The taste is a little bit like a sourdough- very yummy. Even hubby who is adverse to anything gluten free really liked this one. It's a keeper ;)

This recipe is a great base but I found that adding 1/2 tsp Vanilla and between 1 and 2 tsp Agave the bread actually has some taste! In order to make the bread moist I also add more liquids than the recipe calls for. Who knew I would be a bread baker?! Thanks for the recipe!

Success! I used this recipe and produced a delicious, lovely loaf of bread with a wonderful moist texture. And it tastes great, too. I have missed soft sandwich bread and I am so happy with the results of this recipe.

This recipe turned out GREAT! I had to make a few substitutions; but the family loved it. Thank you so much.....I've missed a nice loaf of bread with dinner.

To replace the vegetable oil called for in this recipe, simply replace it with an equal amount of melted butter.

You may replace the soy lecithin in this recipe with an equal amount of vegetable oil or you may simply omit it.

I'm not using vegetable oils in my diet.

How much butter can I use to substitute for the 1/4 cup vegetable oil in this recipe?
