Basic Cooking Instructions for Grande Whole Grains

Contributed by: Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods

Directions

Stovetop:  In a saucepan bring liquid to a boil. Add Bob's Red Mill Grande Whole Grains and cook over medium heat, not low heat. Cook until all liquid is absorbed, about 30 minutes. Add more liquid if you prefer a softer texture. Let stand covered for 5 minutes.

Variations:
* Try it for breakfast using apple juice for liquid. Once cooked, can be eaten hot or cold with a fresh fruit topping.
* Try it for lunch for use in salads, soups or in pita bread.
* Try it for dinner as a pilaf or stir-fry with vegetables. Use as a side dish instead of rice or pasta.
