Basic Cooking Instructions for White (Creamy) Wheat Farina

Microwave Instructions

Mix cereal, water (or milk), and salt in a microwavable bowl.

Cook on high for 1 minute. Stir. Cook 1 to 2 minutes more until cereal begins to thicken, stirring every 30 seconds.

Stovetop Instructions

Bring water and salt to near boil, then remove from heat. Add Creamy Wheat Farina slowly, stirring constantly. Return to burner and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cook for approximately 3 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.

Serve with brown sugar and milk, or with cinnamon, maple syrup, bananas, or other fruit.

Makes 2 servings.

Not a review but a question.

Why the difference in the amounts of ingredients between stovetop & micro methods? Is the micro version for 1serving & the other for 2 as stated?

The stovetop method makes two servings while the microwave method is for a single serving.
