Directions
IRISH SODA BREAD
Place entire package of Irish Soda Bread Mix in a large bowl. Mix in1 ¼ cup water, 1/3-cup oil and 1 egg. Mix until just blended. Turn out onto floured surface. With well-floured hands, form dough into a ball. Pat out on lightly greased pie pan so loaf is about 8” in diameter and 1 ½” high. Slash with sharp knife to make a cross on top. Bake at 375°F for 40-45 minutes. You can use if 9”x 5” loaf pan if you prefer. Good hot or cold. Try adding 1 cup of raisins, currants, or chopped dates to dry ingredients. IRISH SODA BISCUITS Ingredients: 2 cups Irish Soda Bread Mix ¼ cup Oil 1/3 cup Water In a medium bowl, mix oil and water. Stir in bread mix. You may need to add a little extra water if dough is too dry. Gather dough into a ball. Roll or press out on floured board to 1” thickness. Cut into biscuits. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
