Basic Cooking Instructions for 8 Grain Cereal

These instructions are printed on the label of 8 Grain Wheatless Cereal. This is a wheat-free product but may contain traces of gluten. Whole Grain! High Fiber, Lactose Free, Low Cal, Low Fat, No Sugar, Vegan. Net Carbs = 17g.

Directions

Stovetop:

Bring 3 cups water and 1/2 teaspoon salt to a boil. Add 1 cup cereal and turn heat to low. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Makes enough for four hungry folks. Serve with honey (or brown sugar) and milk.


Single Serving Instructions:

Bring 3/4 cup water to a boil (with a pinch of salt, if desired). Add 1/4 cup cereal, reduce heat to low, cover and let cook to desired consistency, 5 - 7 minutes. Makes about 1/2 cup serving.


Microwave Instructions:

In a large bowl, combine 1/4 cup cereal and 3/4 cup water (add a pinch of salt, if desired). Microwave on high for 3 to 5 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes. Makes one serving (1/2 cup).

This is great hot cereal. I stir in 1/4 (total) cup chopped walnuts, almonds, and dried cranberries.
