- Don't overlook this staple because it says "quick cooking"
This stuff is great. The product is NOT pre-cooked, it is simply scored, just like farro is simply scored ancient wheat. What this does is allows water to penetrate the outer portion of the grain faster. The rice then cooks faster and turns out to have more texture as well. My wife and I mix it with Bob's Sweet Brown Rice sometimes as they have similar directions and cook times.
