    Have been experimenting with different ways to prepare. Honey is okay but we really like the molasses better. Making them exactly as recipe on bag best but this last batch I had just about 1/4 c left so I threw it in and the muffins were dryer and therefore crumbled. Guess the package directions are best. Still wish it ended up with none left over. I was getting it delivered through Walmart to get 4 packages at a time but it is cheaper to buy direct. Will continue to make these forever. Tried many other recipes and mixes before finding this. None compared. Bob's Red Mill is the best there is.

    I use this mix as a base and add chopped dates, small chunks of apples, chopped carrots, raisins, chopped pecans, oatmeal, cinnamon, honey, molasses, two eggs and water by eye to the whole package and make about 48 mini muffins (400 degrees for about 10 minutes or so). It's just so hard to find this particular mix in the stores around my town.

    They were delicious, added chopped apples. I agree with the packaging comment. Recipe calls for using 2 3/4 cups leaving about a 1/4 or less mix in the bag - makes no sense!

    Made this last night. came out very dry and bland. No dates in this batch. Very disappointed. Could also make package to contain enough to make two batches instead of one , plus a little extra. No logic in that packaging.

    Easy to use. If you like lighter colored muffins, use the honey. If you like molasses use it but muffins will be dark in appearance. I loved them both ways.
