Bob's
Red Mill unveils
new gluten free products
Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods, Inc. has provided a
much-needed solution in a big way. We have launched a nationwide effort
introducing our line of gluten free products that specifically target
the dietary needs of those people suffering from celiac disease, wheat
allergies and wheat intolerances.
People
suffering from these ailments depend on wheat free, gluten free foods
to maintain their quality of life. Gluten, a protein found in wheat, rye
and barley and their derivatives, causes celiac disease sufferers to experience
changes in their small intestine and often a loss of their ability to
absorb crucial nutrients.
The
newly developed, great-tasting gluten free products include: Sorghum
Flour, Garbanzo
& Fava Flour, Homemade
Wonderful Bread Mix, All-Purpose
Baking Flour and Mighty
Tasty Hot Cereal.

Bob
Moore, President and Founder of Bob's Red Mill states: "We have met so
many people and read thousands of letters from individuals who want more
gluten free alternatives," he said. "Now that we have added a new gluten
free milling area and a laboratory for testing, we are perfectly equipped
to respond to this need."
With
Bob's Red Mill's extensive line of gluten free products, those suffering
from celiac disease or wheat allergies can still enjoy their favorite
foods such as bread, cakes, cookies and muffins all traditionally made
using wheat, explains Carol Fenster, Ph.D., President of Savory Palate,
Inc. Fenster, publisher/author of several special diet cookbooks, developed
Bob's Red Mill's new Homemade Wonderful Bread Mix, All-Purpose Baking
Flour and the Garbanzo & Fava Bean Flour. She said the new gluten free
product line is unique in that it uses a variety of flours rich in protein
and fiber, complementing the traditional rice flours used for gluten free
baking.
"These new products give consumers more choices in appearance and flavor,"
Fenster noted. "The gluten free community has more choices today then
ever, thanks to Bob's Red Mill."
