Good mix but be careful with measuring.
I've used this mix many times. If you are using the whole bag, it's important to measure the mix because it is more than the 4.5 cups the label states. (18 servings of 1/4 cup). The latest bag I bought had 5 1/4 cups in it. I calculated the proper ratio of liquids to mix and it turned out very well, but I know in the past I have not measured it and it was too dry. I do not recommend doing oil version of this mix (no butter) because as a previous reviewer noted, it is too dry and rather bland.

not recommended
The directions for this mix are really weird, because not enough liquid is given--it should be about a third more--and instructions to knead too much are not given. Because the directions say to add only a cup of egg/oil/water for a total of 3/4 cup, there is so little liquid that it is necessary to push and squeeze the dough a lot, and this of course makes for a tough biscuit. Altogether, I would not recommend this product.

Perfect, Easy, Delicious
I've always been a stickler for making things "from scratch," but this mix is now my only biscuit "recipe." It can't be beat - just add egg and water, and move over, Grandma! The biscuits are light, fluffy, flaky - a classic biscuit with the added health benefits of whole wheat, but without being the least bit heavy. Lately, I've been unable to find the Buttermilk Biscuit mix at my local grocery stores, and I was bereft until I discovered that I could purchase it on line. My family and I are now happy again...
