Introducing Gluten Free Extra Thick Rolled Oats {Giveaway}

We’ve really been on a, ahem, roll around here lately and let me just say that we’re not done yet! We’ve got one more new item to tell you about later in the week and, yep, you guessed it, we’re going to give some away, too!

If you’ve never been able to try our extra thick rolled oats before, now is your chance. These oats are rolled extra thick, making them heartier and chewier than our old fashioned rolled oats and light years away from quick and instant rolled oats. Extra thick rolled oats are a truly old-fashioned oatmeal. As Bob would say, “This is what oatmeal should taste like.” Our conventional extra thick rolled oats have long been a customer favorite in our line, which is why we’re so excited to be able to offer them to our gluten free customers, as well.

As with our other gluten free oats, these are grown with care to ensure they are gluten free. Each delivery is sampled using the R5 ELISA Gluten Assay to ensure the absence of gluten and packaged in our gluten free facility. Please be aware, however, that a small percentage of people cannot tolerate even the purest of oats. If you are unsure whether oats are suitable for your diet, please check first with your health advisor before eating them. Read more about oat (or avenin) sensitivity here.

These oats will be available in stores near you in the coming months, but if you absolutely cannot wait (and you don’t win), they’re on sale on our website at 25% off through the month of May.

Giveaway

We’d like to giveaway a package of our new Gluten Free Extra Thick Rolled Oats to three lucky winners. To enter? Simply leave us a comment here on this blog post and tell us one gluten free product you that wish we would make. We’ll pick three winners randomly from all who enter by 11:59 pm on 5/9/12 (that’s end of day tomorrow).

Love your Rolled oats for oatmeal in the mornings with a little Cinnamon on it! I wish you guys carried a Red Quinoa or a Quinoa blend for cooking.

Sadie says:

I’ve been looking for the gluten free rolled oats for a long time in my grocery stores and I’m never able to get them!!!

I would finally make my oatmeal rolled oats cream cookie sandwich!!!

Jeana Nieves says:

I am brand new to eating gluten free so I’m not really sure but a gluten free carrot cake mix sounds pretty amazing!

Mary F says:

I don’t eat gluten free, so I don’t have a need for it. I am sure there are plenty of people who will give you great ideas. But I do love your Oatmeal!!

Becky says:

Love all the gluten free products you already offer and appreciate that you are adding more. I’d like to see a gluten free muesli or granola offered by you.

gluten free beer. Not happy with existing choices.

racergirl1313 says:

Maybe a GF vanilla “base” cookie mix that is open to customization so you can make GF cookies in any flavor quickly by combining the base with other GF ingredients (nuts, citrus zest, etc).

Kim Russo says:

I would love if they made gluten free tortillas that are like the flour ones, so soft

Ruthie Clark says:

I would love to see an all purpose flour mix. Something you can just substitute cup for cup with regular wheat all purpose. I love the texture potato starch and tapioca starch have in baked goods but it can’t always be used and sometimes the bean flours leave a funky aftertaste. Don’t even know if it’s possible but it would be great to have the binders added too, sometimes I have been mid baking and found I’m low on (xanthan/guar gum) and I live 45 miles from nearest health food store 🙁 Thank You for all your fantastic products, the gf choc chip cookie mix and cake mixes are the Bomb!

Neva Hurlbut says:

Tortillas, assorted flavors and styles

Tonya Payne says:

I would really like a biscotti mix.Even if I do not win, please look into a mix that is gluten free.

I really can’t think of a gluten free product you DON’T make/sell already. In fact, I have learned about so many MORE gluten free options from You, many thanks !

Sandra West says:

I love this stuff. My kids want me to make it for them every morning. This is the first oatmeal that they will eat every bite, and leave nothing in the bowl. Thanks for a great product.

Jackie Spiller says:

I wish you would make gluten free tortillas

Elizabeth s says:

I really wish you could make a gf donut mix!!

Gluten free granola cold cereal with agave sweetened rolled oats, flaxseed, pumpkin seeds, carob or dark chocolate pieces, maybe raisins that can also be used in yogurt.

Kim says:

I wish that your gluten free mixes were also potato free- I am severely allergic to potatoes on top of being gluten intolerant.

I would LOVE to win a package of these!! One product I would love to see is some pre-made GF tortillas. I have tried making my own, and can’t seem to get them to stay together right. (Now, it could be that you already offer these and I just haven’t seen it. If so, please tell me where to find them!) Thanks for the chance to enter!

Sharla L says:

The oats look yummy! The one product I wish I could find would be a cream soup base that I just needed to add milk to!

Sarah says:

I have not been able to find a gluten free angel food cake mix Thank you

Donna Gulino says:

I wish you would make an gf artisan flour blend so we could get that kind of texture that breads had before we had to go gluten free.

Sara F. says:

You have so many great mixes that you are probably already making what I want (like, say, pizza crust)!

Renda S says:

I would love to see some gluten free baking mixes that don’t have guar gum or xanthum gum. I am allergic to the gum.

Jessica Ferlaak says:

This is awesome! My mother lives with my husband and I and eats gluten free for her MS, she is on a somewhat restricting diet so it is always a challenge (that I gladly take on) baking for her! She cannot have sugar, legumes, gluten, starch or dairy so if you can make an all-purpose baking flour that is gluten, legume, and potato free I would buy cases of it! 😀 In the mean time I will be experimenting with rice, quinoa, coconut, and tapioca flours!

Chris says:

I’m new to gluten free and at this time am happy to find any product that is . I’d really like to try out your baking soda as well . Thank you for the chance to win . Have a blessed day

Shari H says:

My son and I love baked oatmeal (made with Bob’s Gluten-Free oats, of course). What I’d love to see next is a good, affordable, easy cornbread mix.

Karen Moss says:

I am new to using your gluten free products. I think you have a great variety from what I can see so far….but I do love the idea of having the gluten free oats because my husband use to eat oatmeal for breakfast and had to stop because of gluten.

Karen says:

Gluten free granola!

Valerie Bradley says:

I would love to give these oats a try, they sound like they would be perfect in the homemade granola I make. 🙂

As for a GF product I wished you would make… I would love to see GF graham crackers, or even just a GF “graham” flour that could be used to make our own crackers. I would love to be able to make a GF cheesecake with graham cracker crust but as of yet I haven’t found any GF graham crackers anywhere.

Thanks so much!

Paula says:

You already offer such a huge selection of gf products, and I am a huge fan. I would love to see chestnut flour someday, though. 🙂

Rachel says:

Gluten Free Crapes!

Robin Scott says:

Can’t wait to try these. You seem to coming up with some great new products keep up the good work!

Kate Steff says:

I would love gluten free oyster crackers!

Although your flour is awesome, I would love another choice from you in an all-purpose gluten free flour blend. One that isn’t bean flour based, for more delicate flavored baking.

Heather says:

I wish you made an all-purpose mix that did not contain garbanzo bean. I have several friends who prefer other products because they don’t like the flavor of the beans.

Robert Pater says:

I love barley but wish I could get it gluten-free? Can you process it this way?

Jayme says:

I would love to see some kind of gluten free flour tortilla mix or kit. Corn tortillas are great, but sometime you want to make burritos, and right now the best option is brown rice tortillas and they are rough and brittle, they don’t fold into a burrito well. They break apart. It would be great to find some way to have a softer tortilla or ones to make ourselves that don’t crumble and fall apart.

Deanna says:

I’d love to try some extra thick rolled oats!

Let’s see, what gluten-free product do I want you to carry? How about chestnut flour?

Reese B says:

Gotta try this please?

Caitlin says:

it would be amazing if you could make a gluten-free vegan bread!

Melissa says:

I buy nearly all the GF products you make. I’m lucky that my Co-op stocks so many of them! I would love to see your no-fat added, natural granola in a GF version!

Bonnie Parmenter says:

I wish you would make a bread mix similar to your “Hearty Whole Grain Breadmix”, but eliminate the sunflower seeds. I ordered a box several months ago and tried is for the first time. The 1st loaf I ended up crumbling up for my wild birds. The second loaf was really good, but I spent about 30 minutes siftiing out the sunflower seeds before I mixed it. I did the same thing with the other 2 bags.
The bread is very good sans sunflower seeds. The sunflower seeds just over power the other flavors in the mix.

Teisha c says:

I would like to see an onion soup mix because thats in a lot of my recipes that I can’t use anymore.

Bruce Fontaine says:

Gluten-free oatmeal cookies

gluten free granola!!!! vanilla and pb granola 🙂
