Black Bean Flour is stone ground from hearty, high fiber black beans. It's used for baking, for thickening soups, and also makes a quick bean dip or burrito filling.


Bob's Red Mill Black Bean Flour is freshly ground on cool and slow turning, century-old stone-buhr millstones from premium quality black turtle beans. It can be blended with water or other liquids to make dishes such as black bean dip. It's also an excellent ingredient for gluten-free baking. High in dietary fiber and a good source of iron, magnesium and phosphorus, this nutritious flour has a rich, earthy flavor. Black beans are low sodium, low fat and a great source of protein. Because of their iron and protein content, black beans are often recommended as an important part to a healthy vegetarian diet.     I absolutely love this product for making Banana Bread. I mix it with 1/4 cup quinoa flour ( your brand of course) and 1/4 cup of white rice flour to one cup of the Bean. I use grape seed oil because it helps to make a moister cake.
